"Free to Be...." When: Thursday November 17- Saturday November 19 Where: WSU Browning Center, Allred Theater Cost: $12/ $10 We hope to see you there!!!!!! Ever wondered what being cast in a show is like your first semester of college? 5 freshman cast in 6 Characters in Search of an Author reflect on their experiences navigating college life while simultaneously rehearsing for the performance. Kacy Christensen: I assumed nothing was going to happen when I auditioned and it was scary, but I still tried. I was surprised when I got cast. The rehearsal process was like any other show, but I feel like I should be better because I got cast my first semester and it’s not normal, so I feel I should be some amazing star, but I’m just me. It’s stressful, but also I’m so grateful because its gotten me recognized in the department and I get to do what I love. I’m glad I get to try new things here and go beyond what I was always cast as in high school.
Check out these wonderful images of some of our WSU dancers!!! Beautiful!
Much thanks to CPRowe Photography 2016 for capturing these great shots, be sure to check out more of her work at www.cprowe.com !!! Music First Year Experience students and the Ballet II/II class collaborated Thursday morning with music, movement, and of course...scarves!!! It was a privilege to work with these artists and we look forward to more collaborations in the future! :)
